A Maryland man considering tips from a fortune cookie has become a $ 100,000 winner in the lottery.
Diego Caceres, 25, opened a fortune cookie saying it was his lucky day after his brother Domingo and he had dined on February 16 in a Chinese restaurant, according to the Maryland lottery.
Shortly after, they stopped at a 7-Eleven convenience store and Diego Caceres bought a soda and thought about his fortune cookie, borrowed $ 10 from his brother to buy a Power 8 scratch ticket, which allowed him to win $ 100,000.
Diego had bought only one Maryland lottery ticket that was not a winner. He said that he was grateful for the generosity of his brother and that he would share the winnings.
They plan to visit their families and attend football games in South America and Europe.
"We will live a little bit," said Diego Caceres. "We are young."
