Theeicester City has paid £ 9 million to compensate Brendan Rodgers and his team behind the scenes, the Daily Telegraph includes.
Rodgers was named the new manager of Leicester last month and the Premier League club had to pay a large sum of money to leave Celtic during the season.
Celtic inserted this figure into the four-year contract that Rodgers signed as a manager in April 2017. Transfer fees for the Northern Irish would be lower this summer.
After sacking Claude Puel, Leicester has identified Rodgers as the # 1 target and plans to name him before next season.
Rodgers also took on badistant director Chris Davies, first-team coach Kolo Toure and performance manager Glen Driscoll at King Power Stadium, with the total cost of the Leicester transaction totaling £ 9 million.
