Jamie Vardy can inspire Leicester as Luis Suarez did for Liverpool, according to their new boss, Brendan Rodgers.
The Foxes hitman, Vardy, has scored in all three matches since Claude Puel's dismissal after clashing with the Frenchman. Burnley will be in the line of fire on Saturday.
Rodgers worked with Barcelona star Suarez in Liverpool, scoring 31 goals in 2013-14 before being sold to Catalan giants for 75 million pounds sterling. And Rodgers compared the importance of Vardy at King Power Stadium to that of the Uruguayan leader at Anfield.
Rodgers, who had joined Celtic, Scottish champion last month, said about the 32-year-old player: "From the outside, I saw Jamie for what he was, a first-rate striker.
"He was the focal point of a team that won the title and everyone knows his background. But it's really only when you enter and work with someone you see close to the real value.
"He's very good tactically and not just a boy who scores goals and runs forward. His ability to understand the game from an offensive perspective is very good.
"It will really be the focal point of the pressure on the game.
"For me, it's like when I went to Liverpool, I had seen Luis Suarez and Luis was the pivotal player of the front line. The team then followed and I look at Jamie in a similar way.
"He's a fantastic player, but he can not do it alone. There must be 11 players working together and this starts at the front.
"Let's hope that he still has a lot of goals left."
