The Bangladesh cricket team on tour in New Zealand escaped the shooting in the Christchurch Mosque.
Mohammad Isam, a correspondent for ESPN Cricinfo in Bangladesh, was at the mosque with the Bangladesh cricket team traveling to New Zealand.
He told 1 NEWS that he was with players, while they were about to enter the mosque. A lady came to tell them not to come in and the team escaped.
He confirmed that all members of the team, except for two, were present but escaped.
