Princeville Capital manages a combined $ 500 million in aggregate badets in its current global fund and the new Climate Technology Fund.
This is not the first incursion of DiCaprio as an investor. Previously, he had invested in startups such as Allbirds, specializing in the manufacture of ecological wool shoes, and in the Casper mat startup.
DiCaprio himself tweeted the news this morning. In a press release issued today, he said that the fight against climate change "requires an urgent and widespread change in our energy consumption".

The Princeville Climate Technology Fund is led by founding partners Emmanuel DeSousa, Eric Kosmowski and Joaquin Rodriguez Torres. It has offices in San Francisco, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.
