Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O had to leave the show this morning, but not because of the controversial nature of their breakfast radio show.
An "emergency" in their North Ryde studios in Sydney forced the couple to cancel their show just after 10am.
The alarms started ringing in their studio, and a producer informed the duo that they would need to evacuate the building. It seemed like a fire alarm and Kyle interrupted the music to say to the listeners, "Sorry guys, the song has to stop …"
"If we do not burn, we'll be back on Monday."
Because they were already working in overtime, Kyle and Jackie did not return to the studio and the listeners listened to more music before the station presenter took over.
Fire crews arrived at the studio, but it is unclear if it was a false alarm.
