Demand for shedding on 10 PDS MT / LV lines according to GRIDCo is necessary.
The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has written to the Energy Distribution Service (PDS) asking it to start reducing its load from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day in parts of the capital, Accra.
According to GRIDCo, it is necessary to request a load shedding on the PDS MT / LV lines, because of the diversion of the Aboadze-Volta 330KV transmission line to Pokuase, in order to facilitate the work of Pokuase.
The letter indicated that the work, which was originally scheduled to be completed by Thursday, March 14, 2019, will be completed by March 19, 2019 due to the difficulties encountered by the contractor.
"We therefore wish to ask you to prolong the breakdown of the affected MT / LV PDS lines in the hallway until March 19, 2018. The outage should last from 8 am to 6 pm each day during this period," the report said. communicated.
Ghanaians have expressed concern over the recent power outages, fearing a possible return to the "demon" era.
The PDS, however, said the power outages were due to technical problems and the fear of a return to Dumsor.
