Felix Annan, goalkeeper Asante Kotoko
Felix Annan, optimistic about the return of the ZESCO clash, is optimistic.
Winning in the last group show this Sunday in Zambia is the only way forward in the CAF Confederations Cup competition.
And for the goalkeeper, it is the mentality that the team carries in the confrontation which it qualified as "play of the decisive moment".
Last Sunday, Kotoko missed his chance to qualify in the quarter-finals with a win after Sudan's Al-Hilal forced them to a 1-1 draw in their garden (Baba Yara).
Despite the heavy task, Annan said that if the team's endurance (Kotoko) had to be overcome, she would have a firm footing in the quarter-finals.
The Porcupine warriors left the country on Wednesday and in an interview with CAF online, he said: "We believe in our abilities and knowing that only a victory will lead us through, we go to Zambia with a plan to defeat ZESCO and seal qualifying for next round of the CAF Confederation Cup. "
Annan added, "We think we have a chance and we can do it. Too bad we did not manage to kill him at home against Al Hilal, but the 1-1 draw was good for us and we will continue this momentum. All that remains close to the total victory and we will say goodbye to our participation in the competition. "
Meanwhile, ZESCO Ghana striker Rahim Osmanu said on Happy FM: "We want to beat Kotoko to bring back the spirit and confidence of the fans in the team."
Kotoko is third in group C, two points behind leaders Nkana FC.
