Black Stars Rund The Black Stars face Kenya for their last qualification in AFCON 2019

Former Ghana defender Shilla Illiasu believes the unit will be vital for the Black Stars to end their 37-year drought against the CAN.

The four champions seek to end their 37-year wait for continental success after winning their last title in 1982.

The Kwesi Appiah team is about to end its drought in the last six tournaments, having reached the semifinals and even going up to the finals in 2010 and 2015.

According to former defender Asante Kotoko, the team has all it takes to win the cup in Egypt in June, but only if the tournament is united.

"Everyone says that Ghana will win the CAN but it will not be easy. Although we have players, solidarity is our problem. Even the coach has problems with them, "said Illiasu on Clbad FM.

"Unity is very difficult for them. If you want to win a cup, you must be unified. I know that all players always play outside and that there is a good physical condition, but everything except the Unity, is very important. "

Ghana has qualified for the CAN, but a win against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in the last qualifying match will ensure it finishes the campaign at the top of its group.

The CAN 2019 will begin Saturday, June 7 to Sunday, June 30.
