BATESVILLE, Arkansas – Canaan Sandy, Razorback's super fan, is recovering from a heart attack.
"He's doing remarkably well," says Ginger Sandy, Cannan's mother. "He should be paralyzed on one side but he's not bouncing on the walls."
Sandy says that the scanner has shown no blood in his brain, but he will spend the night for surveillance.
The family is being cared for at the White River Medical Center, where she will soon meet a neurologist to learn about the next steps for Cannan.
"We know that he would not be in the same situation if he had not had everyone's prayers," Sandy said. "We thank the Lord first and then we thank you guys."
Throughout Arkansas and beyond, everyone has sent messages of prayers and greetings to the biggest fan of the Razorbacks.
"We love you guys, thank you," said Sandy and Cannon.
