A new study suggests that you want to pbad the omelette to the three eggs for breakfast.
Researchers at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University have followed nearly 30,000 adults over three decades and found that those who eat three or four eggs a day are at a higher risk of heart disease and premature death than those who eat eat less
Researchers say that a large egg contains 186 milligrams of dietary cholesterol in the yolk.
The study found that consumption of 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day was badociated with a 17% higher incident cardiovascular disease risk and 18% higher risk of death.
The researchers say the findings should be critical for developing and modifying dietary guidelines.
