JOHANNESBURG, March
14, (Xinhua / GNA) – South African Airways (SAA) wants to recover millions of people
the rands of a former pilot who flew his planes for twenty years without a

"The pilot has
resigned. The money that we intend to recover from it runs up against millions of

William Chandler Driver
worked with SAA for twenty years. He piloted the jets with an advertisement
pilot license.

the SAA regulation, a pilot must also obtain the airline pilot

He was arrested and
accused of fraud Monday in court in Kempton Park after SAA has laid charges
against him. The fraud was discovered only after Chandler was involved in a
accident while operating a flight in Germany last November.
SAA also suspended
security chief Victoria Buxton for trying to cover the fact that
Chandler was without ATPL.
South Africa
Civil Aviation Authority that delivers pilots with licenses told Xinhua that one
probe has been established in the fraud.
"The problem is
still under investigation, we will announce the results once it's over, "
said spokesman Kabelo Ledwaba.
Since November
