Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the opposition party, John Dramani Mahama has denied Reverend Owusu Bempah's statements that he was preparing the badbadination of President Akufo-Addo.

According to him, there is no truth in this statement, while the controversial preacher is described as "a politically corrupt founder of a church".

Reverend Owusu Bempah, founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, said in an interview with Oman FM that Mahama was plotting the evil against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

He alleged that the former president was planning to eliminate Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

But a statement signed by Mahama spokeswoman Joyce Bawah Mogtari denied the pastor's allegations.

"In direct response to the said charges, Mr. Mahama ordered me to declare that the said pastor's statements were false. They remain distorted fantasies and effusions of a politically corrupt founder of a church that would say and do anything to draw attention to itself,"We read in the statement.

"As a known substitute to the Akufo-Addo government, Owusu Bempah's statements are clearly designed to divert the attention of the suffering mbades in Ghana from growing problems of poor governance, corruption, insecurity and dishonesty,He added.
