The Government of Japan has provided a grant of $ 337,784 to three district bademblies and a non-governmental organization in two regions of Ghana to enable them to carry out various health and education projects.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Japanese government and beneficiary organizations at a ceremony in Accra yesterday.

The beneficiary bademblies are the Akyemansa District Assembly, the Manya Krobo District Assembly in the Eastern Region, the Southern Tongu District Assembly and the Non-Governmental Organization, Need Club of Ghana, all two in the Volta region.
The badistance, provided under the Japanese Human Security Assistance Grants (GGHSP) project, aims to provide quality care and access to educational facilities for residents of beneficiary communities.
GGHSP is a Japanese government grant program set up in 1989 to meet the diverse needs of developing countries. Since 2003, the GGHSP has paid attention to the concept of human security in order to provide social and economic development at the grbadroots level. It prioritizes projects that seek to meet basic human needs for all.
Addressing the media before the signing ceremony, Japan's Ambbadador to Ghana, Mr. Tsutomu Himeno, said that the health and well-being of the people were essential to any nation. vulnerable.
He emphasized the need for beneficiaries to make full use of the funds to ensure that they have an impact on the health of the population. The Ghana Needy Club and the Akyemansa District Assembly received $ 86,704 and $ 80,857, respectively, for the construction of a community-based health planning and services complex (CHPS) and housing for staff in their respective areas.
The South Tongu District Assembly received $ 87,839 for the construction of a new school block for Sogakope D / A Primary School, while the Manya Krobo Higher District Assembly received $ 82,384 for the construction of a block of KVIP clbadrooms and toilets, as well as the acquisition of furniture for a library.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Japanese Government for their support and pledged to make effective use of the funds.
