Shatta Wale's close friend, known as Junior US, who allegedly arrested Ghana-based rapper Showboy in Ghana, reacted to his jail sentence.
According to Junior US, originally known as Nana Yaw Opoku, he never filed a complaint against Showboy, but in turn (Showboy) accused him of theft he was due to defend.
"This case started three years ago and it was fighting against the state of Georgia. I have never complained against Showboy, I have never written against him, but he rather wanted to take me to jail.
Showboy thinks I do not have any papers, so I can not bring him to justice and he has lawyers to defend him. It all started when Criss Waddle sent me to give money to Showboy, which created a misunderstanding and ended up stabbing me.
Showboy accused me of robbery so I went to court to defend myself and not to provoke his arrest.
I received a letter from the state of Georgia claiming that I had gone to rob Showboy and that I had to defend myself because he accused me badly. He caused his own prison sentence, "he said.
