Slained Tema Port public relations officer put to rest

Tema, March 16, GNA –
The marketing and public relations manager of the port of Tema, Ghana Ports, murdered
Ports and Ports Authority (GPHA), Ms. Josephine Asante, was put to rest
after a funeral service held at the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Tema.

Ms. Josephine
Asante, 49, was murdered at her home in Emef Estate, Mataheko, near
Michel Camp after his return from a dinner at the end of the year at the dawn of 13
January 2019.

His housekeeper and
driver were subsequently arrested as the main suspects and placed in pretrial detention.

Very reverend
Father, George Obeng Appah, Priest of St. Thomas More and John Fisher
Catholic Church, Achimota, in a sermon, said the souls of those who led a righteous
life was in the hands of God.

He still regretted
that some Christians had sold their conscience for money, a situation that he said
had made the nation lose its value.

He therefore called
on Christians to be bold and to criticize politicians and any wrongdoing
regardless of those involved.

Father Appah noted that
Ms. Asante defended what was right, hence her appalling elimination of
Earth emphasizing that – if you want to live fair and honest, you would be
killed, "he added.

He prayed for
forgiveness for his murderer (s) while cautioning that greed, jealousy and
gossiping should not be encouraged among Ghanaians.

Mr Michael Luguje,
Director General, GPHA, addressing the media on the sidelines of the funeral,
revealed that Ms. Asante had a cordial relationship with all employees and clients.

Mr. Luguje noted that
the void created by the disappearance of Ms. Josephine Asante would be very
difficult to fill.

He also called the
Security agencies work hard to get the perpetrators to book.
