Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Reverend Father Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni
Private practitioner, Theophilus Ade-Kpodzo filed a lawsuit against Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Reverend Professor Anthony Afful-Broni.
Mr. Kpodzo challenges the legality of Reverend Afful-Broni, who holds the position of VC of the University.
According to him, the VC is not qualified to hold such a position, underlining a number of reasons to support his claims.
"According to the bylaws, whoever holds this position must hold him for a continuous period of four years. In September 2020, Afful-Broni will be 60 years old at the end of which he will not have finished his four years.
"According to the statutes, whenever any one must be invested to the post of Vice Chancellor, he must be the oldest dean. Thus, when this post became vacant, one of the professors, Samuel Asiedu Addo, was the oldest dean, but out of mischief, bad intention, bad faith, the Council invested Afful-Broni as a Vice-Chancellor … in keeping with good governance, "said Citi FM, Theophillus Ade-Kpodzo in Acci.
