The co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), Joseph Lubin, said he expects the global economy to be 10 times larger in 10 to 20 years, when the blockchain will be fully branched and the blockchain will intervene in most cases. Lubin made this statement at the SXSW conference in Austin on March 14th.
In the same address, Lubin also pointed out that, as at present, few "normal" people use blockchain-based systems, "there were not many" normal "people who sent e-mails in 1983 ".
He also reiterated the promises of Ethereum 2.0, saying that Bitcoin (BTC) has many inefficiencies and that the current version of Ethereum does not contain:
"In Bitcoin and currently in Ethereum, you need specialized hardware, lots of electricity, lots of calculation, to keep everyone in sync. [With Ethereum 2.0, in 18 months] we will have a much more powerful and scalable blockchain system that uses orders of magnitude less energy. "

The statements mentioned above also support what Lubin had said in November of last year, when he told a New York Times interviewer that with the blockchain, the society would pbad "from a scarcity mentality to an abundance mentality".
