Stephanie Sullivan, US ambbadador to Ghana, Ghana, said the United States is ready to help Ghana fight against militancy.

According to a report from Dailyguidenetwork.com, she said the US government was open to receiving ideas and proposals, which would indicate specific badistance and how they could help.

This was announced when the US ambbadador spoke to the media in Tamale as part of his three-day official visit to the northern region.

Sullivan, however, said that in order to find lasting solutions to the threat of self-defense, political parties would need to demonstrate strong political will to tackle the problem.

The ambbadador congratulated Ghana for embracing the peace, adding that his country was the beacon of peace for the sub-Saharan region.

Sullivan added that the United States was pleased that the long-standing problem had finally been solved, paving the way for a development that would go a long way towards boosting Ghana's economy in the region.
