Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, expressed his great disappointment and sorrow at recent chaos at the University of Education in Winneba.

Mr. Agyapong, annoyed by the contents of a statement issued by the police administration and by what he calls a misunderstanding of the events by the media, has shown himself discouraged during An interview with Asempa FM, describing in detail the problems that occurred and promising to stay. " silent on all the questions that are now facing this country.

According to reports, Mr. Agapong was "warned" in a written statement signed by the ACP Director General David Eklu, after allegedly "aggressively" told a police officer on duty that he would ensure that he was returned of a student demonstration.

"The police administration therefore makes a very strong exception to the behavior of Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament, and advises him not to lose sight of his actions towards police officers in the exercise of their legal functions, "says part of the statement.

However, reacting to this, Ken Agyapong has called the police administration to be unthinking for not following the due process in order to determine the subject's knot, but rather for a statement aimed at "discrediting" and to tarnish his hard-earned reputation.

He recounted the events that led to his actions on Thursday as follows;

"We went to the Winneba University of Education. The Minister of Education invited us to come help resolve the chaos that reigned in the school. The Minister of Education fairly well organized the meeting and we agreed.
The council chair said he had received a call regarding demonstrations and destruction on campus. So we waited until there was a little calm and then we went there.

There were three sects; suspended speakers, protesting students and the police team. The speakers explained that there was no chaos until the arrival of the police; I asked them to be patient so they could talk to the police.

While going there, the students threw stones and protested, I told them to stop and I went to the police to talk to the commander and tell him that the problem had been solved, so they should leave things go. Shortly after, I heard noises from the outside. So I went back to the police and explained to him that the problem had been solved, they told me that the students had blocked the roads with logs and stones and that they had to talk to them.

The students also said that we should ask the police to release two of their students and stop releasing tear gas. So I took some of the students to the police to let them know how much they had taken out their weapons. The commander told me that the students had injured some of their staff. Because of this, they would not hold back, they would shoot.

I warned them and told one of his team members that he had to be careful, otherwise I would make sure he was fired because I did not understand that a police officer would incite him to violence.
I did not wait for the commander, because even if he had ordered his team to shoot if they approached, should I have allowed them to kill people? Do you know what would have happened if I had not intervened? ".

Mr. Agyapong was bitter about what he said was misinformed information. He added that the details of the events had been misinterpreted and others had been omitted.

"Apparently stones were thrown and a police officer was wounded. The Winneba hospital said he would be forced to send him back to Accra. I went to see the situation and I offered about 5,000 cedis to cover his medical expenses … Why did not they add that when they wrote the statement? Why do I still have to be painted black? "He asked.

With this in mind, Mr. Agyapong promised to remain silent on the ETU case and all other matters concerning the country. Focusing on his life and his children will be his priority, he revealed, no matter what happens, so that he can also wear a decent name and refrain from being constantly dishonored and taken for granted.

"Nobody asked me what was my version of the story. You will see what happens in Ghana here one day. "

"They have so disgraced me that I can not forgive them, I will not interfere in any of these matters, they should do their own thing. I have planned my life and that of my children, I will take care of my business, I will not involve myself because if I had not called, I would not worry about it. I would not even bother going there to get the police to write things about me. They are a stupid administration. Am I sorry to be just standing up and going to tell a policeman that he will be fired? Should I have stayed there to kill people? Is it bad for me to have told him what he said they should shoot, I will ensure that he is sacked? He continued.

"You're not at all right with me, but if that's what you're going to do, I will not say anything, it's not my school, Ghana is not for me, no matter the situation , no matter the situation. I do not care if Ghana burns, my constituents, everybody. I'm tired, nobody can just dishonor me, at this stage of my life I can not do it anymore, no matter what should happen, I will not entertain it. I will never speak for a policeman to come and tell me trash, "he said.
