Napoli's goalkeeper, David Ospina, was taken to the hospital after failing to recover from a head injury inflicted at the start of the clash with Udinese.

Ospina was seriously injured in the head five minutes after being struck by Udinese winger Ignacio Pussetto while he was coming out to claim the ball. But, after being treated by medical staff, the Colombian international has continued to play with protective equipment.

However, 42 minutes later, Ospina collapsed to the ground without anyone hitting it.

The worried medical staff rushed to the field to ensure the welfare of the guardian. He was replaced by Alex Meret and was lying out of the field before being transported to the hospital.

It is unclear yet when he will be part of the Colombian squad that is expected to face Japan on Friday and South Korea on March 26th.

Napoli had left a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 when Ospina left the field.

But in the second half, the goals of Arkadiusz Milik and Dries Mertens restored their advantage by two goals to give them a 4-2 win.
