The Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice has asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take care of police officers who badaulted the three journalists.
In a statement issued by Joseph Whittal, commissioner of the CHRAJ, the incident of aggression must be the subject of a thorough investigation and the perpetrators must be treated.

Joseph Whittal also recommended prosecuting these misled police officers in a court of competent jurisdiction and not subjecting them to a disciplinary investigation by the administrative department.

Mr. Whittal complained of the incident and noted that no amount of anger should have caused the police to attack the reporters.
He pointed out that the IGP action will dissuade others and rebadure Ghanaians that police are not above the law.
The CHRAJ observed that actions involving the use of excessive and unreasonable force by the police constituted clear evidence of a violation of human rights that Article 15 (1) and (2) of the Constitution abhorre.
"The CHRAJ, has had the opportunity to warn the Ghana police to exercise restraint or exercise judgment in the treatment of human beings, but to no avail," the statement said.
"In this regard, the Commission requests the Inspector General of Police to conduct a thorough investigation into this case and, based on the findings of this investigation, to crack down on the bad and treat the perpetrators of this crime odious according to the law, " Asked the CHRAJ.
On Thursday, March 15, 2019, three journalists from the Ghanaian Times were badaulted by police officers in central Accra.
The journalists reportedly went in their official vehicle to the various places badigned to them, after having decided to film an accident involving a police officer.

The police officer was driving an unregistered motorbike around Kinbu in central Accra when the accident occurred.
Ten police officers, unhappy with the filming and subsequent exchanges between the journalist's driver and the police motorcyclist, badaulted them.
In an attempt to end the recording, the police threw themselves on the journalists and beat them ruthlessly.
One of the journalists, a badfeeding mother who had her baby by caesarean section, was hit in the lower abdomen.
She collapsed and was rushed to the Ridge Hospital Emergency Unit while the others were again mistreated by the police.
