Power Distribution Services (PDS) Ghana attributed interruptions and failures of the electricity distribution system to a "heavy rain storm" that hit the country in the early hours of Sunday, March 17, 2019.
In a statement, the PDS said the rainstorm that hit Accra and other parts of the country uprooted trees, cut down advertising signs on their distribution lines and caused power outages.
The statement adds that PDS engineers are working hard to fix errors and restore power.
