"Poch was right" – Spurs fans react to Schalke's announcement about former player Nabil Bentaleb

Some Tottenham supporters have said the same thing about former midfielder Nabil Bentaleb after Schalke 04 announced that he had been fired on the under-23 side of the club.

The German club announced yesterday (Sunday) that the 24-year-old player had been sacked on the Under-23 side of the club until further notice for disciplinary reasons.

In a statement on the club's website, Schalke did not explain in detail why he had been referred to the under-23 team, simply describing it as a "misconduct disciplinary".

The statement added that the door was open for a return to the professional team, but that the deadline for this step was not fixed.

This is not the first time that Bentaleb has gone astray in a club, he has also done it in Tottenham.

The Algerian was initially a regular on Mauricio Pochettino's first regular team, alongside Ryan Mason, but was not swayed by concerns about his attitude. He was finally loaned to his current club, then loaned, before registering for good in 2017.

He has thrived in the Bundesliga and has recently scored two goals in the Champions League against Manchester City.

But the latest news about him has again brought Spurs fans to talk about Bentaleb, some supporters saying the same thing, as can be seen below.
