The University of Education's board of directors, Winneba, will visit the campus today to badess the extent of the damage caused by the student protest last week.
The Council will then hold a press conference to talk to the media about the stalemate after a crucial meeting.
At the same time, one of the lecturers suspended from the Winneba University of Education, Dr. Emmanuel Sarpong, said that he should not be recalled for again, unlike to what the media claim.
According to media reports, all professors sacked or suspended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Afful-Broni, were reinstated as part of a peace agreement, following the tensions that have overwhelmed the school since Monday.
A stalemate between the VC and some of its lecturers and the MP from Efutu constituency – where the university is located – caused Wednesday a chaotic demonstration on campus by students, who resulted in the destruction of several school buildings.
Students claim that some of their most effective speakers have been victimized by the Vice Chancellor who seeks to strengthen his authority over the school.
