A starlet from Bayern Munich, born in a refugee camp in Ghana after her parents fled the Liberian civil war, wrote her name Sunday in the German giants' story book.

Alphonso Davies was born in Buduburam, a refugee camp in Ghana. His parents, both Liberians, fled their country during the Second Liberian Civil War before settling in Canada as refugees, while Alphonso was five years old.
There, Davies gained his football skills and quickly became a star, making his professional debut in April 2016 for 15-year-old Whitecaps FC 2 and five months.
