The minister spoke when she received Tunisia's ambbadador, Jalel Trabelsi, at his office in Accra last Friday.
Ms Botchwey recalled her visit to Tunisia last month aimed at revitalizing relations between Ghana and Tunisia through the creation of a platform allowing both parties to explore areas of cooperation in a mutual interest. .

She said that her visit was historic, as it was the first time in 40 years that a Ghanaian foreign minister traveled to Tunisia.
Bilateral agreements
During her visit to Tunisia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs announced the signing of three important bilateral agreements with her Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Khamaies Jhinaoui, including one on political consultations between the two foreign ministries.
She pointed out that others were the general cooperation agreement between the two governments and an agreement for the creation of a permanent joint commission of cooperation (CCPJ).
She said that six outstanding agreements on industrial development, higher education and scientific research, vocational training and employment, postal services, information and communication technologies (ICT) and the promotion of women and the family were given due attention.
Tunisian Trade Delegation
Ms. Botchwey also recalled the visit to Ghana by a 26-member Tunisian economic delegation in January as a positive development, and reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to deepen cooperation between the two business communities. country.
