Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen revealed how Sir Alex Ferguson sometimes confused the players with his determination to keep the tactics secret.
M fascinseen worked at United for several years before being promoted to coach of the first team to replace Carlos Queiroz in 2007.
He remained in the role for six years until the retirement of Ferguson, after a remarkable success at Old Trafford.
However, he admitted that his job was sometimes made more difficult by the fact that Ferguson liked to plan his home team three games in advance without alerting the players until the match took place.
"The most difficult thing was, we almost never played at 11 with the team (at the training)," he told Stadium Astro.

"That's the team we're going to play, and you're reflecting on it with the other players, but it's almost never happened because Sir Alex Ferguson did not want to give up the team.
"We always thought three games in front of us.
"We were going to play in the league, then in the Champions League, and then in this game.
"Sir Alex had a head in the head for the third game, then the second, then the first.
"So I had to work in training, because I knew who would work and play together, what kind of relationship is important.

"It was not always easy, so we played almost half a team.

United has won four Premier League titles in five years, while Meulensteen worked under Ferguson and also won the Champions League in 2008.
