New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary John Boadu said the involvement of civil society groups, including the United Nations and the West African Economic Community ( ECOWAS), in the debate the activism proposed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, he believes, it is imperative that both parties reach a perfect understanding in the preparatory stage before engaging other stakeholders in the discussion to put an end to vigilance.

"Regardless of everything we do, we need to understand each other and the UN and ECOWAS do not get involved. But if their presence at the meeting puts the NDC at ease, we do not really care, "he said.

Speaking at the morning show Ade Akye Abia of Okay FM, NPP chief Scribe said that no matter the specific law likely to put an end to vigilance. What really matters, he said, is that there is peace in the country.

". . It is in our interest as a party to guarantee peace. . . our only advantage is to see peace reign in the country, "he badured.

However, he said the nuclear power plant would continue to mobilize the CND. He is even ready to use FIAT to invite him "so we can go ahead".
