Whoopi Goldberg returned to his chair Monday on "The View" to the sound of applause after his triumph over a case of almost fatal pneumonia.

Last week, Goldberg made a surprise visit to his colleagues on his first trip since his illness, causing tears of joy. However, her return was not yet final, as she was still mending, telling viewers, "I'm not here yet."
