The Sonos Controller for iPad is now available on the iTunes App Store.

The application turns the iPad into a music hub for Sonos players connected to WiFi, streaming music streaming from various online music sources.

We had a preview earlier this summer and we were very impressed. The fluid application makes digital music very easy – especially for listening to online music services such as Pandora, Rhapsody, Last.fm and the fantastic Mog.com. Using the iPad as a large Wi-Fi remote, you can listen to music from your iTunes library, thousands of online radio stations, subscriptions to satellite radio or online sources.

Sonos sells wireless music players that facilitate multi-room audio in your home. Plug one player into each room and stream music to each of them (or the same music). Sonos products have been praised for their painless installation, ease of use, relatively low cost (you can spend a lot more) and innovation – it's the hi-fi system of tomorrow. The iPad app takes to the next level.

The badyst Michael Gartenberg is a fan. "I have been testing for a while and this shows perfectly the power of the tablet platform", he just tweeted.
