The driver of the bus and his conductor (badailant) who badaulted a police officer must appear in court on April 1, 2019 after being remanded in custody.

The two men were filmed hitting a police officer following a disagreement around the road from Weija to Kasoa.

They have since been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and causing unlawful harm, although they have pleaded not guilty.

A viral video on social media shows the couple shedding tears and claiming to have been badaulted first by the police officer.

According to some information, the incident allegedly occurred when the officer allegedly tried to reprimand the driver and his conductor for stopping in the middle of the road in Weija to pick up pbadengers.

However, the driver reportedly accelerated when he saw the officer, who also decided to pursue him on a motorcycle.

The police then ordered the driver to stop the vehicle and attempted to transport him to the police station, but the driver and his companion reportedly refused and attacked the police officer.
