Monday Night Raw arrived in Chicago Monday night with the installation of additional pieces of the WrestleMania puzzle.

Seth Rollins faced Drew McIntrye, Brock Lesnar of Beast Incarnate returned to live television and WWE legend Kurt Angle revealed his opponent for his final match at WrestleMania.

Mirror Sports John Isherwood looks specifically at what happened.

1. Angle makes its choice

Angle def. Chad Gable

Last week, the Olympic gold medalist told the WWE Universe in his hometown of Pittsburgh that he would be playing his last match at WrestleMania in New York.

Speculation about Angle's opponent was widespread on the internet as fans drew up their dream match wish list. Shawn Michaels and John Cena were all mentioned. Monday night, we found out who was choosing Angle.

Rather disappointing, Angle announced that he wanted to face Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf had proven to be a thorn in Angle's foot during his tenure as Raw's General Manager and both had been physically in the past, but do not get me wrong, this announcement is a bit of a disappointment .

Before beating Chad Gable, Angle said about his match on the biggest stage: "Nothing makes me happier than playing Baron Corbin at WrestleMania".

2. Phoenix up

Things are going wrong in the women's division

Sasha Banks and Bayley have successfully defended the WWE women's team titles at Fastlane for the first time. Since then, it remains to be seen who will launch the challenge against Boss N Hug Connection at WrestleMania.

With the champions being able to defend their titles on one of the three WWE brands, teams from all over the world are cracking for their luck. No more than the Iiconics, who have been advocating on social media in recent weeks.

On Raw, Bayley and Sasha confirmed that they would be at Smackdown on Tuesday to eventually face the Australian duo.

Although it seems that we would not have a standard team affair at WrestleMania as a Hall of Fame member, Beth Phoenix – who was commenting for the defense of the Fastlane title – has arrived with Natayla to declare that she would come out of her retirement to challenge Boss n Hug on April 7th.

The opportunity to add more teams to this exciting match was reinforced with the arrival of Nia Jax and Tamina, who then decimated the champions by stating that they would see them at the Showcase of the Immortals.

3. Ronda's ride continues and her husband gets Rowdy

Rousey and her husband, Travis Browne, were physically in the rough

We witnessed Ronda Rousey's gradual attitude change as she heads for WrestleMania.

Rousey has shown a real advantage lately. Arriving at the arena with her husband Travis Browne, Rowdy One is prepared to face Dana Brooke – who posted on her Twitter how excited she was at the thought of 39, get this title opportunity.

Sadly for Brooke, Rousey did a quick job on the old fitness model, but it was the post-game events that shocked the audience in Chicago. The contempt for Ronda's authority continued as she began to attack the ring's safety and when the numbers game became too complicated, her husband, an MMA fighter, also started firing.

By tackling the triple threat of WrestleMania, we see a new team in Ronda – one more worthy of its MMA past.

4. You hold me back, so I'm going to finish your career.

It's not like that anymore!

After their face-to-face last week, Batista made his best impression of The Rock around 2012 and transmitted it by satellite this week.

Watching every inch of the movie star, Batista was here to prepare his stand before facing Triple H at the showcase of the immortals.

Responding to questions from Michael Cole, Batista was asked about his motives to face his former stable partner in New York. Batista said he "just did not like" the game. Feeding the fire, the Animal claimed that Triple H had retained it. (Although Batista is a multi-time world champion) and The Game has "cheated everyone. He is a control maniac.

The personal attack continued as Batista claimed that if Vince did not "wake up and kick his bad," he would do it for him and promised to end Triple H's career at WrestleMania.

5. Drew poses his WrestleMania challenge.

McIntyre challenged Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 35

Opening the show, Brock Lesnar – with his lawyer Paul Heyman – denied Seth Rollins' chances of beating the Beast on April 7 in front of the winning Royal Rumble cleaner with a chair forcing Lesnar to retreat.

Before that, the Scottish psychopath, Drew McIntrye, had earned the applause of Paul Heyman, who seemed to be a stumbling block in Seth's journey to the universal title. Claiming that it is the reason the shield is no longer, McIntyre has launched the challenge to Roman Reigns for WrestleMania.

Stating that the Big Dog's luck was exhausted, Drew remarked, "You may have defeated leukemia, but on the biggest stage of all, you will never beat me."

McIntryre then beat Rollins in the main event of the shows, Brock Lesnar diverting Seth's attention and taking a revenge on his opponent before his match in three weeks.
