The Black Stars have not been denied access to Tang Palace – Standardization Committee

The attention of the GFA's Standards Committee (CN) was drawn to media reports that Black Stars players and technical crews were denied access to the Tang Palace camp.

The reports are wrong. An initial communication error by a member of the facility's security staff was immediately corrected.

The GFA Standards Committee has had no events since its inception at Tang Palace.

Ms. Lolita, the manager of the hotel, was flabbergasted when told the story invented and said that the arrangements made for players to stay at the hotel were professional and without a hitch.

Nicolas Opoku was the first player to arrive at the hotel on Monday. A member of the security staff at the hotel entrance told him that the camping was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

When the Standards Committee was made aware of this miscommunication, Acting Secretary General Alex Asante contacted the Tang Palace management. This misconception was immediately corrected.

Opoku and Lumor Agbenyenu, at the end of Monday's day, were both players arriving and resting in their Tang Palace rooms. Most players should arrive later in the night.

The standardization committee would also like to let it be known that it should not Tang Palace and the report suggesting that the players were fired because of a debt must be completely ignored.

Players will have their first training session on Tuesday night before the African Nations Cup qualifier against Kenya.

CN wants to encourage fans to come together on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium to support our national team to beat Kenya and contribute to the resurgence of football madness in our beloved country.

The match is scheduled to start at 18:00, while the Black Meteors will face Gabon at 15:00 at the same place on the same day.
