Ghana played against Kenya this weekend
Following a report on Ghanasoccernet.com regarding the missing Kenya, March 23, 2019, the final qualifier for the CAN of American football will be against AFCON, due to funding problems of the government.
The latest information gathered by the website indicates that the Harambee Stars can not honor the match if the Kenya Football Federation receives no funds from the government before the end of the works today.
The players invited to the match have all arrived at the camp and are training with the exception of Michael Olunya who is injured.
Kenya is expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday, March 21, 2019 when it manages to secure government funds.
"The government has not yet provided any tickets, but we hope that something good will be enough to close the offices today," said Oyerepa FM, spokesman for the Football Federation. from Kenya, Barry Otieno.
Kenya and Ghana have qualified for the CAN to be held in Egypt this summer.
