The FA is investigating allegations that a coin was thrown against Ross Barkley of Chelsea in Sunday's match against Everton's former club.

Sky Sports News understands that the AF was informed of the incident and wrote to the two clubs for their comments.

A statement from Everton said: "We are investigating the alleged incident and we are watching a movie.

"If anyone is found responsible for this or that incident, the club will take drastic action."

Everton won the match 2-0, following goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the second half.
