The Ghana Education Service, which is in charge of the treatment of newly recruited teachers for the entry of their biometric data and issuance of identity cards of staff members, is reportedly being lost in the exercise.
Of the three required processes, new teachers have only completed one, which consists of completing what they have called IPPD forms. They must still be the subject of a biometric registration and receive their identity card.

According to the teachers who form the Association of Newly Recruited Teachers (ANRT), they would have met the Minister of Education, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, twice, about the non-payment of their salaries, but he seems to have no hope for them.
Collins Nana, president of the ANRT, told 3news.com Tuesday that the minister had badured them in January of this year that their salaries would be paid by the end of March "but what we do know is that Before we receive our salary, we must follow all the processes.
"They do not tell us the truth and we have to do something," he told 3news.com.
Earlier in March, when they met with the Minister of Education for the second time, Mr. Agyemang said that the GES had pretended that they had technical problems with their system, from 39, where the delay in the treatment of their wages.
"We think they are lying," said Agyemang, stating that there appears to be a growing culture within the GES, where it takes a year or more before newly recruited teachers are paid.

He added that life had become unbearable for new teachers, noting that some were struggling to find housing because they were badigned to places that were "foreign" to them and now, "how to feed oneself, it was not easy for us "

According to them, they are now faced with problems of accommodation, transportation and food, saying: "These are in danger of death, it is the least we can say."
"What is heartbreaking is the silence on the part of the stakeholders," the group said.
They therefore appealed to all stakeholders and President Nana Akufo-Addo to receive their salaries.
"If the government does not intervene quickly, we will be obliged to take the necessary measures," the teachers warned.
