The Oregon Health Authority has confirmed a second case of measles in Marion County, public health officials said late Tuesday.
Both cases involve unvaccinated persons and are linked to a contagious traveler with the disease, who visited the Salem area at the end of February.
The first case was confirmed last week.
No other suspicious cases are under surveillance.
Health officials said that several Salem sites frequented by travelers were no longer considered as exposure sites because the measles virus incubation period was over.
Unvaccinated persons visiting Youth With a Mission, 7085 Battle Creek Road SE, between February 18 at 7 am and March 14 at 5 pm risk of contracting measles and should contact a health care provider if symptoms occur.
Most people in Oregon are vaccinated against measles and are at no risk.
