Homer Simpson meets Mickey Mouse, and everything goes as planned

And at least one Fox employee enthusiastically celebrates his new corporate surcharges.

Longtime "The Simpsons" showrunner Al Jean celebrated the change of ownership on Tuesday with a tweet showing Disney's mascot Mickey Mouse's first encounter with Fox, Homer and Bart Simpson's own counterparts.

Spoiler alert: it went as well as you wanted (which means it's not good at all).

Of course, some "Simpsons" fans could not help participating in Disney's dragging.

The merger means that "The Simpsons" will become a property of Disney. TV Insider says that even though the show will be produced by Disney's 20th Century Fox, it will continue to air on Fox Corporation's Fox Broadcasting Company.
