Pope John and others participate in the NSMQ qualifications

The seminar and high school Pope John met expectations on Tuesday and won a brilliant victory by winning a qualification for the preliminaries of the national quiz on science and mathematics (NSMQ).

Local Koforidua champions scored 50 points, 28 points more than the nearest competitor, Presby SHS, in Mampong.

SHS of the Salvation Army followed with 17 points. Klo-Agogo SHS and St. Fedelis entered the contest and finished with nine and two points each.

In another competition, the Asamankese SHS won with 31 points, two points better than the second, Boso SHTS.

St. Martins SHS followed closely with 24 points. The other competitors did not manage to fight and finished with one-digit points only.

Presby SHTS, Larteh got 9 points, Anum Apapam Community SHS got 5 points and Presby SHTS, Aburi coming home with 4 points.

Savior SHS took the last place of the day with 25 points. They usurped Oyoko Methodist SHS who ran the contest for most of the heats.

Oyoko Methodist was finalist with 20 points. Akroso SHTS and Oda SHS finished the contest with 11 and 8 points respectively.
