US stocks focus on Fed rate decision

The world's two largest economies have imposed tariffs on billions of dollars worth of goods in the last year, degrading financial markets and damaging the business and consumer climate.

In the meantime, there is a general expectation that the US central bank will keep its rates unchanged later in the session, as investors monitor a decision on the Fed's rate forecasts for the next few years.

In Asia, the broadest MSCI share in Asia Pacific, excluding Japan, declined 0.4%.

No economic data is expected for Wednesday, however, in terms of profits, General Mills is expected to present his results before the bell and Williams-Sonoma will do so afterwards.
