Footballmadeinghana.com, former Ghana U-17 player, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has been named head coach of the under-17 team in Uganda, revealed exclusively.

Former coach Asante Kotoko left Ghana on Monday for Kampala to conclude negotiations with the Ugandan Football Federation.

Fabin has signed a one-year contract with the Ugandan AF and has a mission to "do well" at the U17 CAN to be hosted by Tanzania next month.

The experienced coach has a remarkable track record with youth development, and his nomination is based on taking Ghana to the U17 CAN and World Cup.

Fabin guided Ghana to win the silver medal at the U17 CAN in Gabon in 2017 and finished in the last eight at the FIFA World Cup in India.

Paa Kwesi will also be responsible for designing a strategy for the development of youth football and will also be in charge of the Juvenile Department of the Ugandan Federation.

Uganda is part of Group A with Tanzania, the host country, as well as Nigeria and Angola, champions of the UAFW Zone B.

The tournament starts from April 14 to 28, 2019.

Paa Kwesi has already coached Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies, all in Ghana's Premier League.
