HP launched Reverb, a new VR headset for homes and businesses. The reverb has a resolution of 2160×2160 pixels for each eye.
HP is competing with a new VR headset. The headset called Reverb appears both in a consumer version and in a business variant. The reverb must be much lighter than, say, HTC's Vive earphones and offer higher resolution and a wider field of view.
The two reverb screens have a resolution of 2160×2160 pixels per eye and the field of view is 114 degrees. In addition, headphones are built in, which support surround sound, but the user can also use his own headphones with headphones. The foam on the front is also machine washable. The reverb is based on the Windows Mixed Reality platform, but other content can also be played using the headset.
In the United States, HP's reverb costs $ 599 and will be available in April. Meanwhile, the professional version beats with $ 649, but no release date is still known. HP has not yet announced its availability and price in Switzerland.
