3 police officers arrested after alleged involvement
Three police officers who allegedly badaulted three journalists working for the Ghanaian Times newspaper were arrested.

The journalists concerned, Salifu Abdul Rahman and Raissa Sambou Ebu, who recently underwent a caesarean section, decided to film an accident involving a police officer driving an unregistered motorcycle and the vehicle carrying the journalists.
According to the victims, a dozen policemen unhappy to have tried to record the accident and the subsequent exchanges between their driver and the police biker jumped on the journalists and physically badaulted them. .
The lactating mother collapsed and was transported to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital for medical care.
The reactions
The National Media Commission as well as the Ghana Association of Journalists have described the incident as "barbaric" and have called for speedy investigations into the administration of the police and misguided police officers punished.
In a statement signed by Joseph Whittal, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) said that officers should be tried by a competent court and not by a disciplinary investigation of the Administrative Service.
