Kennedy Agyapong Cancels Decision to Leave Politics … Central Region Happy | Policy

The central regional executives of the new ruling Patriotic Party (NPP) expressed gratitude to Assin's maverick deputy for Assin's central and party financier, Ken Agyapong for canceling his decision to leave politics.

Addressing party MPs in Nyankumasi within his constituency this weekend, the legislator announced that he was coming out of politics because he felt cheated and insulted by the NPP.

According to him, the party was not fair to him, even though he was facing the worst kind of embarrbadment when he appeared before the Privilege Committee for his comment on the legislature.

"They feel wise, but that's all. They will take me to the central region and tell Kennedy Agyapong's 23 constituencies that he has to use his money to support himself, I will not do it anymore. If I do not tell them, then I'm lying.

"I decided not to argue anymore because of NPP and their conduct. The way they use me and face me with all sorts of embarrbadments, I do not think I can continue. You can record and go play to them. Where I lived and where they treat me, I call it, "said Mr. Agyapong.

But a few moments after an emotional Hon. Ken Agyapong spoke to the rally. Several crying followers rushed to him and begged him to reconsider his decision, which he forced.

Speaking on Kasapa News, NPP Central Regional Secretary Terchie Mensah said the central region of the NPP would have suffered a lot if the Hon. Ken Agyapong threatened to leave politics.

"Leaders of Central Region nuclear power plants led by President Kutin strongly support the Hon. Ken Agyapong, one of the individuals who mobilized his resources, time and energy during the 2016 election campaign, gave the NPP 19 seats out of 23 in the central region. The PNP also won 63% of the presidential vote. Ken Agyapong's contribution to the NPP across the country and in the Central Region is invaluable and can not be quantified. We will continue to support in every way and encourage him to continue.

"Politics is made up of individuals with diverse interests and backgrounds. Whatever the case, a person will walk on someone's feet. But we are happy that after he was called by the residents, he agreed to reconsider his decision. We thank him very much and will continue to give him the fullest support in the 2020 elections. "
