Marcus Rashford will miss Friday's qualifications for England with the Czech Republic.

Mirror Sport revealed Tuesday that Rashford was the main doubt about an ankle injury suffered during the Premier League clash with Liverpool last month.

Rashford was the only player not to train on Thursday morning, which means he will probably have to stay away from Friday's game at Wembley.

This could mean a competitive first start for the wonderful Jadon Sancho player, as England begins its qualifying campaign for the Euro 2020.

Marcus Rashford will play no role in England's first match on Friday

The Football Federation insisted that Rashford would not withdraw but if he misses the match, they could think before driving him to Montenegro.

Manchester United will closely monitor the situation and will be particularly worried with Romelu Lukaku, already absent from the Belgian group, injured.

Rashford has been battling an ankle injury for the past few weeks due to movement restrictions, twists and turns.

Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes his injury will not be a big deal

England boss Gareth Southgate will also be concerned that Rashford has been in great shape despite the pain barrier of recent games.

This is another blow to Southgate who lost John Stones, Delph Fabian, Loftus-Cheek Ruben, Luke Shaw and Trent Alexander-Arnold from the original team because of a injury.

These withdrawals led to the convocation of James Ward-Prowse of Southampton and the wonderful 18-year-old Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi.
