A Christian mother tells a homosexual that her sexuality is a choice

A Christian mother was today considered homophobic after claiming live on TV that being gay was a choice and that no one was born homobadual.

Izzy Montague, of Croydon, south London, said during a debate on LGBT courses in schools that his beliefs prevented him from having a homobadual relationship.

But she was criticized by some viewers of Good Morning Britain, of the ITV television channel, who claimed that she was "fanatical" and "1500s" with "absolutely disgusting" opinions.

Gay father Tom Cox, a blogger, appeared with him today in the program and insisted that people be born with their badual preferences.

But Ms. Montague said, "I do not agree with the fact that you were born, you know, nothing, no. Of course, I believe it's a choice. I've made a choice on what seems right or wrong.

"I do not remember ever having thought" am I gay, am I straight? "It's something I've done based on my beliefs.

"Even though I was gay, I personally believe – based on my belief – that I think a heterobadual relationship is the right course of action for me."

Mr. Cox added, "I do not think you are doing a child a favor by not allowing him to take this training so that families come in all shapes and sizes.

"We live in such a diverse time. Gays are everywhere, so they will get on a bus and this bus driver will be gay.

"A gay woman will serve them food in a restaurant. A gay could give birth one day to your child's baby. We are everywhere.

However, Ms. Montague then said, "What makes you think that my child is walking in a world that thinks no one is gay?

"I never said I would not teach my child. I am a Christian, so we have our own teaching methods on the world. It is not a question of living in a vacuum.

"It is not enough to say that this person does not exist, it is nothing like that. These are our opinions about the world around us.

Spectators at Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway's animated show quickly criticized the woman on Twitter as "obviously homophobic."

One of them, Megan Gratton, of Yeovil, Somerset, said, "Wow! Who in their right mind would choose to be gay with the amount of hate and abuse that they would suffer?

Another said, "Wow, this woman's point of view is absolutely disgusting to say that homobaduals have a choice. The more she talks, the more I hate her. She is obviously homophobic!

Last November, Mrs. Manning had made the headlines after she had complained about a gay parade in her five year old son 's school before she was confronted by a staff member wearing a t-shirt saying, "Why be homophobic when we can shut up?"
