Paul Pogba's will face off against Barcelona in a much-anticipated European clash next month.

The last time the two teams clashed was in 2011, when Barca defeated United 3-1 at Wembley in the Champions League final.

They did the same thing to Manchester United two years earlier in the final in Rome – beating the Reds 2-0.

Messi scored magnificent goals in both games and even hurt the Juventus team in the 2015 final, while Barca won 3-1 in Berlin.

At a press conference held on Friday during the Euro 2020 qualifier against Moldova, Mr Pogba spoke of the challenge facing Barcelona.

"Barcelona is a great team, one of the best in the world," he said.

"They have amazing players. It's a game where I want to have fun.

"Playing against one of the best teams in the world is always a pleasure.

"It's a team I've lost to in the Champions League final, but it's always good to play against the best."

About Lionel Messi, who last Sunday scored his 51st career hat trick against Real Betis, Pogba was impressed by Argentina.

"He's the best of all," he said of the 31-year-old.

"The Barca has great players and, above all, an extraordinary player who far exceeds others."

But comments that Pogba made earlier this week suggest the French to move towards Real Madrid, his biggest rival.

"Right now, I'm happy in Manchester, I'm playing, there's a new coach," he said.

"Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"I've always said that it was a dream club for all players."
