The cause of death of Janice Freeman, of Voice, was confirmed after the death certificate revealed that the deceased, aged 33, had died of pulmonary embolism.
US media reported that the popular singer also lived with lupus, an inflammatory disease that causes the immune system to attack its own tissues.
This was listed as a factor contributing to Janice's death on March 2, which was reported as a complication due to pneumonia and a blood clot.
Janice became famous after her stint in the 2017 series of The Voice, as part of the Miley Cyrus team.
In a statement posted on Instagram at the time, representatives told fans of the singer, "We are sorry to announce that Janice Marie Freeman died on March 2, 2019 from pneumonia. extreme and a blood clot that went through his heart.
"While at home, her husband Dion performed CPR until the ambulance arrived.
"She died in a local hospital shortly thereafter."

Miley herself was devastated by the death of Janice and recently broke down while she was talking at the funeral.

"I'm doing my best today to celebrate your existence, but I can not help you, but I deeply mourn your absence.

They got along so well that they became close friends, Miley helping to cover Freeman's housing bills for six months in 2018, in order to help her become financially stable.
Miley played on Freeman's memorial, alongside her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, before delivering a tearful speech.
