It's not a good week for Thibaut Courtois.
Set aside from Real Madrid's starting lineup last weekend after returning Zinedine Zidane as manager, the former Chelsea goalkeeper then dropped an all-powerful goalkeeper by international mission for Belgium Thursday night.
The perfect opportunity to get back on the pitch and impress his new manager, Courtois hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Yuri Tielemans of Leicester City led 1-0 with a quick goal as Russia equalized shortly after their first qualifying match for EURO 2020.
The goal could have been easily avoided if Courtois had not spent his time on the ball and simply got rid of it.
However, he dragged and pbaded directly to Denis Cheryshev, who made no mistake in finding the empty goal to equalize the scores.
Fortunately, his mistake did not cost the Red Devils because his former teammate Chelsea team, Eden Hazard, secured the 3-1 victory.
Speaking to RTBF after the match, Hazard is mocked by Courtois for his mistake and joked that he had watched too many clips of himself in action for Chelsea and Belgium.
"I think he's watching too many videos of me, he's trying to dribble like me!
"But it's not the same thing, it's a little bigger, it's a bit more complicated, it will spend some time on the Internet and make some noise!"
